The local bus service to the hostel stops at 7.30 pm. The hostel can provide dinner if requested, but there is no use of kitchen facilities. Dormitories sleep 4 or 8 and each room has its own bathroom.

Getting there...

On foot
Palazzo Vaj is located in the heart of the medieval centre, a 15 minute walk from the main Prato Centrale train station and a 5 minute walk from the smaller station Prato Porta Serraglio.

By car
Take the A1 from Florence, follow indications for the A11 at Firenze nord and exit at Prato est. From here follow signs to the centro. Pay parking is available outside the castle, very near to the Monash University Prato Centre.

By train
Prato is a 25 minute train ride from Florence. Train timetables.

By bus
Prato can also be reached from Florence by bus; CAP and Lazzi buses depart from outside the main Florence train station.

By air
Prato has regular train connections to:

Bologna Airport
Florence (Peretola) Airport - link not working

Taxis and regular bus services run from Prato to Florence airport. All these airports have services for Italian and European connections.
